Eric Easton (E. Hustle) once wrote ten thousand words on deckbuilding. Mostly he just talked about how all his theory on mid-range decks was irrelevant while Temporal Fissure was legal and how Sliver decks have a bad manabase. Buried somewhere in those articles were a few gems of wisdom. Maybe someday he will dig something up and share it here.

Here is Part 1 and Part 2 of his overview article on Pauper deckbuilding, which originally appeared on another website.

New Brews

Building new decks in Pauper is incredibly difficult. Sometimes lightning strikes once and that person tries to use that momentum to start a third rate competitive site. (Congratulations you have found the place.) We all love our homebrews and refuse to admit that the majority of them do not have what it takes to win a single match in a Daily Event. Of course, today’s established decks all had to originate somewhere at some point. When our collaborative group does discover the best of the best of new decks, we will feature them and continue to push them down the road towards breakout stardom.

2 Many Wincons: a Blue Black Control Brew

Eric Campbell (PaulDenton) writes about his new innovative Blue Black Mill Control deck the he created and has recently piloted to success in Daily Events.

New Brews: Blue Black Control

Daniel Lee (Binkzy) the winner of our Pauper Brewers Championship writes about his innovative Blue Black Control deck the he created and piloted to victory.

New Brews: Domain Zoo

Nathan Constance (nathanp01) discusses the evolution of the innovative Domain Zoo deck he created and piloted to success in recent Pauper Premier Events.

What’s the Play?

We all know how much you love to you use the phrase “lines of play”. In this interactive feature, the staff and readers will discuss complex board states that occur during actual matches. Can you find the correct line?
